Traineeship Program

Man and Woman looking over shoulderThe Traineeship Program consists of four, 6-month sessions (January-June; July-December for two years).

The focus of the Traineeship Program is to provide an opportunity for trainees to begin practicing within an IIGP perspective. Trainees will continue to apply theoretical concepts indirectly through case reviews and peer supervision, but now will have the opportunity to apply the concepts directly as a co-therapist-in-training in an ongoing psychotherapy group.

During pre/post-group discussions trainees will have the opportunity to apply theoretical content to in vivo therapeutic situations and gain increased understanding of the therapist’s conscious use of self in patient interactions and interventions.
