The Fellowship Program consists of four, 6-month sessions (January-June; July-December for two years).
The focus of the Fellowship Program is to advance clinical skills by providing an opportunity for an expanded role as a practicing co-therapist in a psychotherapy group, as well as carrying an individual caseload of patients. Those patients will be treated within the IIGP perspective and will see the Fellow both individually and in an ongoing psychotherapy group as soon as clinically feasible.
For qualified applicants, the two-year Fellowship can be applied toward state clinical requirements for licensure.
Since the character of the therapist is the single most important thing that makes psychotherapy a success, personal psychotherapy is necessary as part of the Fellowship Program.
