Description
Having a sibling or losing a sibling in the formative years can have a significant impact on the development of identity sense of self, self esteem and socializing. This seminar will focus on the sibling bond, both positive and negative, and its implication for psychotherapy.

Goals and Objectives
- Participants will gain increased awareness of issues relating to sibling relationships and how they influence other adult relationships later in life.
- Participants will be able to summarize their understanding of the sibling issues and potential implications for their clinical work.
The Institute offers these weekly seminars for physicians, psychologists and social workers. Participants must attend all three weeks in order to receive continuing education credits. IIGP is approved by the Michigan State Medical Society to provide continuing education for physicians. IIGP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IIGP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
